Today I set my hair on fire
Today I set my hair on fire
It burned my skin,
The flames grew higher
Until I doused them with a hose
And water dribbled down my nose
Into my mouth and threw my teeth,
My molten hair flowed through, beneath
My tongue and tonsils down my throat
Into my stomach, across the moat
And out my end to porcelain bowl
My hair is now a story told.
