The Wise toad

A young man wandered down a road

and came across a wishing well

Upon the bucket sat a toad

With eyes that knew, you just could tell

The young man said unto the sky

‘Will this here well, set my soul free?’

The toad looked on with watchful eyes

Thought,’ Should I speak or let him be?’
