MY COMPUTER Died This Morning

My computer died this morning. It left an awful mess

I tried the power button, pressing, hoping then duress

I sipped my morning coffee as I sat and watched the birds

and wondered how I'd pay myself or punch out rhyming words!

So I went into my office and I opened the top drawer

A book was waiting for me, it's the first thing that I saw

I grabbed a pen and started writing, words they all flowed true

and got me through the morning when there's nothing else to do.
