Haiku’s

My brain sits idle
Until flickering neurons
Zap thoughts toward me

What else will hide
Amongst the Silver Birch leaves?
A mushroom perhaps?

The rain it’s falling
Coffee brews and time passes
‘til water turns black

Timeless galaxy
Planets floating amongst stars
And I’m riding one

Winter is coming
Leaves damp, drop down for cover
And melt in the earth

The sand in my eyes
Melts softly in their closing
As I drift asleep

My mind is drifting
Mouth opens. I go to speak
But no sound comes out

There is a beetle
Crawling. Inspecting. Eating
On the forest floor

I aim to write well

So well as to live to write

By myself. Alone

This is but a thought
One of many I will have
Which will disappear

I’m on a see saw

I drop down fast. Friendship flies!

Towards the hot sun!

If in a moment

I were to breathe and then stop

I would then, know death
